Biography

Emmanuel Tapeng Albino (born December 24, 1999) is a South Sudanese telecom engineer, filmmaker, photographer, and entrepreneur. Born in Juba, Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel has made significant contributions to the fields of media, technology, and entrepreneurship in South Sudan. He is also known by his famous names Director Christmas, Emma Christmas, and Christmas.

Early Life and Education

Emmanuel obtained his Certificate of Secondary Education in 2017. He graduated with a Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Juba on December 2, 2023. He also holds certificates in Project Proposal Writing (2018) from the Islamic University of South Sudan (NUR) Center for Education and Research and ICT (2018) from the Whitaker Institute for Peace and Development.

Career

Emmanuel began his career as a telecom engineer and later transitioned into media. He worked as a Director at Kiss Media in Kiss Television, South Sudan, from January 2020 until June 2023. During his tenure, he managed the day-to-day operations of the TV station, including network connections and broadcasting. He also served as a Video Consultant for King Media, producing humanitarian photography for the African Development Bank Group in Kapoeta, Eastern Equatoria.

Emmanuel is recognized for his work in film and photography and was awarded Best Camera Person of the Year for 2022-2023 at the Juba Film Festival. He is also known for his expertise in live streaming setup and network installation.

Entrepreneurship

Emmanuel Albino is the founder of Digital Intelligence Technology and Sabun Albino, a soap production company. He is also the founder of a shoe brand named 'Albino,' which is named in honor of his late father. Additionally, he co-founded EMSO Media with Solomon Leju Mark and Emmanuel Mogga Milton.

Emmanuel has been in a relationship with his wife for six years.
