Emmy Bright (born 1977) is a Detroit-based print artist, author, and educator who has served as the artist-in-residence at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.[1]

Artistic Career[edit]

Bright's works portrays desire and subjectivity through various lenses including comedy, pop music, and psychology. Her artistic mediums range from drawing and print to social practice.[2]

She has exhibited her work at Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists Residency, University of North Texas, and the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.

Education[edit]

Bright received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago and went on to earn a Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education as well as a Master of Fine Arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.[3]
