Erica Lynn Cunanan (born July 8, 1998) is an American actress and dancer best known for her appearance in the 2023 Netflix Film Family Switch and the Netflix musical film The Prom.

She expressed an interest in performing at a very early age. She stated that her local stage debut as Molly in Annie was at the young age of 6[2]. She also began her dance training early at the age of 3 years old.[3] Erica continued to dance competitively throughout her childhood as well as performing locally in community theater productions.[2][1]
Career[edit]
Erica was cast in The Prom in 2019. She stated "It was my first movie audition and I think I got really lucky. I couldn’t have asked for a better first film experience."[3] In 2023 she joined the cast of Netflix's Family Switch and can be seen dancing the "Walker Slide" alongside Jennfier Garner, Ed Helms, Emma Myers, and Brady Noon.
Personal Life[edit]
Erica is outspoken about her diagnosis with the condition Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). She has struggled with as a dancer with the severe cardiovascular condition since the age of 8. She states "I thought the exhaustion or nausea that I was feeling was typical for an athlete. I thought feeling dizzy when dancing was just part of the sport. I had assumed that standing up after a 2-minute routine was just as difficult for everyone and that it would get easier. Well, it didn’t ever get easier. All of my symptoms were chalked up to anxiety. I was told that I was having panic attacks. I didn’t know how to control them and the idea of that was actually giving me a lot of anxiety. At age 18, she was finally given the diagnosis of POTS. She notes that she has learned how to manage her symptoms over the years but it will always be something that she struggles with.[3][4]

In 2021, Erica graduated with a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Business Marketing.[3] According to her LinkedIn profile, Erica went back to school in the summer of 2022 for her Master's degree in Business Administration and graduated in January of 2024.
