Ethan Platt (b.2001) is a Canadian artist and graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design University.[1] Platt's work has been shown across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.[2] His work is prominent for portraying contemporary life in post-internet society through his the of computer animated images as references for traditional figurative oil paintings. Ethan Platt states his  "paintings reimagine the human form, capturing the essence of modern life with a focus on idealism, false realities, and identity".[3] His work has been shown at Art Mur Montreal, the High Line Nine Galleries NYC, Bau-Xi Gallery Toronto and more.

Early Life[edit]

Ethan Platt was born in 2001 Newmarket ON, and he attended Huron Heights Secondary School where he was enrolled in the Arts Huron regional Arts program.[4] Ethan Platt is the great grandson of Canadian wrestler Whipper Billy Watson.
