Farid Azad oglu Alizada (Azerbaijani: Fərid Əlizadə, legally Farid Alizade; born September 18, 1985, Baku) is an Azerbaijani entrepreneur, the President of the International Turan Games Committee (ITGC),[1] member of the management board of the World Alpagut Federation (WAF),[2][3] Vice President of the Azerbaijan Martial Arts Federations Association.[4] Creator of company International Trade and Development Spult.[5]

Education and life[edit]

Farid Alizada was born on September 18, 1985, in Baku.[5]

He completed school number 164 in 2003. In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. In 2014, he graduated from the Law Faculty of Baku State University and in 2019, from the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.[6]

Alizada has been engaged in business activities since 1999 and in public activities since 2009.[7]

He entered the field of sports in 2012. He first served as Vice President of Finance and Internet Technologies at the Turkish Martial Arts Federation in 2012, and in 2013, he also served as vice president for International Relations.[7]

In 2014, he was one of the founders of the World Alpagut Federation (WAF), and he was appointed President of this Federation by the decision of the management board. In January 2015, he resigned and was appointed honorary president of the WAF by the newly appointed WAF President, a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nizami Jafarov, who gave him the title of "Toraman Bashad"[7]

From February 2018, he voluntarily resigned from this position and has been serving as the President of the International Turan Games Committee.[8]

In 2019, he was elected Vice President of the Azerbaijan Martial Arts Federations Association.[9][10]

Awards[edit]

  • On December 28, 2019, he was awarded the "For Distinguished Service" order by the National Council of Karapapak Turks of Ukraine.[11]
