Fatih Cagatay Akyon is an AI researcher, an open-source maintainer, and a businessman. He is the co-founder, CEO, and Head of AI of SafeVideo AI ^[5]. His open-source Python packages sahi ^[6] and yolov5 ^[7] are being used by more than 4 million developers around the world. He has 9 patents and 30+ AI publications with 400+ citations in the fields of computer vision and large language models ^[8]

In his early career, he worked as a machine learning engineer for 3 years in one of Europe's top defense companies, Aselsan, where he was granted 5 patents.

Before founding SafeVideo AI ^[9], he worked in senior and lead positions for more than 7 years in several large technology companies (as Aselsan, Kuartis Technology ^[10] and OBSS Technology ^[11]).
