Filimo School (Persian: فیلیمومدرسه) is an educational platform that was launched in September 2020 and it is one of the products of Sabaidea company. Filimo School’s content is designed with an edutainment approach and is divided into two categories: academic and non-academic (skills-based). The content is presented through engaging videos, lesson summaries, and multiple-choice and descriptive questions. This platform was established to provide online education to students during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since established itself as a valuable educational assistance tool. Currently, more than 150,000 students use this platform for learning. In 2022, over 30 million minutes of video were watched on Filimo School.[1][2][3]

Academic Content
[edit]The academic content is designed for grades 1 to 9, following the general curriculum and textbooks of schools, and is taught by some of the best teachers in the country.

Content Production Process
[edit]Filimo School, in collaboration with over 200 teachers, specialists, and artists, has produced more than 130,000 minutes of high-quality, standard educational video content over 2 years. This process is ongoing, with new content being regularly produced and published. The content production process at Filimo School is as follows:
- Designing educational content by a group of five selected teachers from across the country
- Decoupaging and preparing the script for filming by the writer
- Scientific approval of the script by the head teacher of the group
- Performing of the script by the teacher and video recording by a professional filming team
- Supervision of the scientific content during filming by the head teacher of the group
- Video editing, motion graphics creation and special effects by a professional editing team
- Reviewing and correcting the video by the head teacher of the group
- Uploading of the video, lesson summaries, and questions on the platform
- Final review of the content on the platform by the head teacher of the group
The first Filimo School Vlog Festival was held in February 2023, in which students creatively filmed a day of studying with Filimo School and submitted it to the platform. At the end of the festival, the following prizes were awarded to the top participants: People's Choice Winner: 5 million Tomans + 1-year Filimo School subscription for 10 people Judges' Choice Winner: 10 million Tomans + 1-year Filimo School subscription for 10 people
- Filimo School, in its commitment to enhance educational equity and fulfill its social responsibility, has made its services free in underserved provinces. In 2022, more than 80,000 students in deprived areas were able to access high-quality, standard content from Filimo School.[12]
- After the Taliban banned girls from attending school in August 2021, Mohammad Javad Shakouri Moghadam announced on Twitter that the Filimo School platform would be made available for free to all Afghan students. In March 2022, Japan's NHK network reported on the growing popularity and use of Filimo School among Afghan girl students.[13]
