Finlay Allan (born 17 June 2006) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Scottish League One club Stenhousemuir, on loan from Dundee.[1]

Career

Youth career

Allan spent his youth career with Fife Elite Football Academy and Kennoway Star Hearts along with playing for his school Levenmouth Academy and receiving a trial for the Scottish Schools team.[2] Allan joined the youth academy of Dundee in June 2019.[3]

Dundee

On 1 July 2023, Allan made his first senior appearance for Dundee at 17 years old in a pre-season friendly away to reigning Highland League champions Brechin City, and would cap off an impressive performance with a goal in the win.[4] On 2 August, Allan made his first competitive appearance for Dundee's B team in the 2023–24 Scottish Challenge Cup, coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Highland League club Buckie Thistle.[5] He would again come off the bench in their Challenge Cup game against Scottish League Two club East Fife.[6]

Forfar Athletic (loan)

On 2 February 2024, Allan signed a new two-year deal with Dundee and joined Scottish League Two club Forfar Athletic on loan until the end of the season.[7][8] Allan made his debut for the Loons on 10 February as a substitute in a league draw away to Dumbarton.[9]

Stenhousemuir (loan)

On 9 August 2024, Allan joined Scottish League One club Stenhousemuir on loan until January 2025.[10][11] He made his debut from the bench in a league defeat away to Kelty Hearts.[12]
