The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 to advocate for historic preservation in Florida. [1]Initially founded to preserve the Florida State Capitol building in Tallahassee, the organization expanded its efforts to include ownership of the historic Hays-Hood house, an annual conference (now known as Preservation on Main Street), educational programs and tours, local and statewide advocacy, and the annual 11 to Save list.
