Francesco Fraioli (born 23 March 1973).[1] is an Italian (naturalised as British citizen) Medical Doctor who is a Professor of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine (INM) at University College London.

He previously studied at Sapienza University and University of Naples Federico II and worked from 2002 to 2011 in the Department of Imaging at Policlinico Umberto I in Rome.

As a combined radiologists and nuclear medicine physician he has developed a unique expertise in combined hybrid imaging of MRI/PET and CT/PET in lung and brain. The main research interest of Professor Fraioli is the application of in vivo imaging to track and monitor several pathological disorders.

He is at present the Secretary of the Neuroimaging committee of the EANM[2].

He published more than 110 publications on peer reviewed journals on google scholar. He and his wife, Linda Bertoletti, have three daughters[3]

He is also an active athlete, having run 10 marathons in different countries of the world and last year he swam the distance between Sicily and Calabria in Italy and he is preparing the Bosforo Cross Continental Race for next year.
