Draft:Freedom of speech in Switzerland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Article 16 of the Swiss Constitution guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It also declares that "Everyone has the right to freely receive, obtain and disseminate information from generally accessible sources".

However, Swiss federal laws prohibit hate speech, genocide denial, child pornography, defamation and what the Swiss Penal Code calls "wilful defamation"
