Fuller Elementary is a public school in Raleigh, North Carolina, in the United States.[1] Located at 806 Calloway Drive (postal code 27610),[2] The school is still open today. Its current school district is the Wake County Public School System.[1] It's current principal is Gerald Hernandez Jr.[3], with the school being a all-gender school, meaning that all genders are permitted to study at this school.[1] The schools NCES school code is 370472001858 and has a district code 3704720.The schools test scores, for the reading and math North Carolina End of Grade Tests are 70% for math, and 70% for reading in 2022-2023. The school also has managed to surpass the Math Growth and Reading Growth in 2022-2023, Also meeting academic growth in the same year.[4] The mascot of the school is the Fuller Falcons.[5]

Renovation

The original building was constructed in the 1960s. [6] In 2020, the school underwent building renovation, as part of a wider county rebuilding program. The new building was opened in 2022 with a ribbon cutting, coinciding with the schools 60th anniversary.[7]

The renovation included a initial budget of 34,180,783$, However, The project was finished at 31,009,648$, being funded entirely by community approved Capital Improvement Bonds.[8]

Merits

In 2024, the school got awarded the Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence merit award[3]. Excellence is the top merit category, and is only awarded to select schools.[9], previously being a Magnet Schools of America School of Distinction.[2] which is the second highest merit for Magnet schools.[9]
