Galateia Kazantzakē (Greek: Γαλάτεια Καζαντζάκη; 1886 17 November 1962)[1] was a Greek novelist and poet.[2]

Biography[edit]

Kazantzakē was born in Crete in 1886 and was the sister of Greek author, playwright, and journalist Elli Alexiou.[2] She was the first wife of Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis, though the couple divorced. Kazantzakē later married Marko Avgeri.[2]

Kazantzakē died in 1962.[2]
