Dr. Geeta in 2020

Dr. Geeta Bora is a software professional who returned from US. She is the founder of Spherule Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in India.[1][2]

Work[edit]

Dr. Bora holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has a background in the IT industry, where she worked as a Software Architect in both India and the USA.[3]

In 2016, she established Spherule Foundation.[4] The foundation operates in multiple states in India and is dedicated to addressing various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. [5] Its mission is to create a sustainable, inclusive, and equitable future for current and future generations through collaborative initiatives that tackle interconnected global challenges.[6][7][8][9]

Honored by London Chambers of Commerce and UK Parliament for exceptional contribution to Social Work in 2023[10][11]

Global Icon Award at the G20 Global Economic Forum Summit in Indonesia in 2022[12]

Outstanding Contribution in Social work at Atma-Nirbhar Bharat Conclave & Awards 2022

The "Indian Achievers' Award" for her social work in 2019

Guinness World Record Holder for conducting the largest lesson on Adolescent health.[13]
