Ginger Associated Secret Society - stylised as G•A•S•S• - was a recording project and subscription service by singer and songwriter Ginger Wildheart.

The project.^[1] saw Ginger release 12 singles, each with two accompanying b-sides, every month for 12 months. G•A•S•S• featured contributions from musicians such as Hole frontwoman Courtney Love^[2], singer-songwriter Yola and Foo Fighters keyboard player Rami Jaffee.^[3]

In a 2014 interview with Classic Rock^[4], Ginger said of the project: "G*A*S*S* represents everything I would like to see as a fan myself. It offers the GASS community three new songs a month, as well as podcasts, a daily diary, video updates, new artwork, horror film reviews, album reviews, exclusive competitions as well as rare demos and unheard songs."

The 36 songs in the project, which lasted between May 2014 and April 2015, were relased digitally via a dedicated website^[5]

In an interview with The Belfast Telegraph^[6], Ginger Wildheart described G*A*S*S* as uncharrered territory for him. He said: "No-one has ever tried something like this before. It's scary - like jumping off a cliff and building your wings on the way down."

Among the songs that were released included 'If You Find Yourself In London Town'^[7] - which featured a promotional video of Ginger riding around in a London taxi.

Subscribers to the project were offered exclusive content,^[8] such as demos, rare recordings, access to a podcast as well as new artwork. Content for each month was accessed by clicking on images, similar in the style of an advent calendar.

Ginger spoke about his decision to move away from the Pledge Music platform to his own platform in a 2014 interview with the Daily Record.^[9]

Selected songs from the album were later released as three seperate compilation albums - Year of The Fanclub (2015)^[10], Gass Mark II (2018)^[11] and Excess Gass (2020)^[12].
