Gligorije Nedić (Serbian Cyrillic: Глигорије Недић; Osečina, Kolubara District, Serbia, 1769 - Čokešina, Municipality of Loznica, Serbia, 1804) was the oldest of all Serbian revolutionary fighters among the 300 who perished at the hands of a numerically superior Turkish army at the Battle of Čokešina[1]on Lazarus Saturday in Karađorđe's Serbia in 1804.[2][3]Gligorije was 35 years old and his brother Damnjan was 31 when they both fell in battle as heroes along with two other leaders Panta Damnjanović and Damnjan Kotešanin and the rest of the brave soldiers.[4] He had a third, younger brother Mihajlo Nedić, who was killed in another battle five years later.[5]
A street in Belgrade is named after him and his brother Damnjan Nedić.[6][7]
