  • Comment: It is not that mores sources are need but better quality sources. Many of these are trade publications which are at best weak sources as they generally exist to promote an industry and have a limited audience. Also, press releases, interviews, etc. are not independent so cannot be used to establish notability. I suggest removing all the weak sources and using only high quality sources (such as reputable newspapers or the like) that have written in-depth about the company. Also this needs to be rewritten like an encyclopedia article rather than a list of activities/events. History

In 2016, GlobalConnect [sv] was bought by EQT.[10][11]

In 2018, GlobalConnect merged with Broadnet.[12]

In June 2019, IP-Only [sv] was bought by EQT.

In December 2019, EQT merged IP-Only and GlobalConnect.[12][2][13][14][15]

In 2019 and 2020, Broadnet, GlobalConnect and IP-Only merged, resulting in GlobalConnect Group.[16][17][18][19][20]

In October 2020, GlobalConnect Group introduced GlobalConnect Carrier[21], a business unit targeting tech giants with high capacity needs (hyperscalers)[22],  carriers and system integrators.

In 2020, GlobalConnect Group had revenues of EUR 577 million.[2]

In 2021, GlobalConnect Group had revenues of EUR 609 million.[23]

GlobalConnect Group employs approximately 1,800 people,[17][24] has 30,000 business customers[3][25] and connects more than 700,000 private households with a high-capacity fiber network.[7][14]

GlobalConnect Group serves both business-to-business and business-to-consumer customers.[13][18]

In the consumer segment, GlobalConnect Group operates under the following brands: IP-Only in Sweden, HomeNet in Norway and Onefiber in Denmark.[2][3]

In the business segment, GlobalConnect Group operates as GlobalConnect across all its markets, [23] its biggest market being Sweden.[6]

Infrastructure

GlobalConnect Group delivers end-to-end solutions across its own infrastructure[26] consisting of approximately 150,000 kilometers fiber network and 34,500 square kilometers of data center space[7] in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Finland.[3][27][28]  

The fiber network consists of a backbone connecting local networks to the major cities in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Germany[29] and wavelengths in several European cities.[30][24]
