Global Helping Hands (GHH) is a UK-based charitable organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and support to vulnerable communities worldwide. The charity operates with a 100% donation policy, ensuring that all funds raised are used directly for charitable causes.

Global Helping Hands was established in 2019 by Dr. Asif Ali, Dr. Hamza Alam, and Mr. Shahid Munir in response to the growing need for humanitarian assistance in various parts of the world. Since its inception, the organisation has expanded its reach and now operates in multiple countries, including Syrian Refugees, Yemen, Palestine, and Uganda. The charity’s mission is to alleviate poverty, provide emergency relief, and support sustainable development projects.

The mission of Global Helping Hands is to:

  • Provide immediate relief and assistance to those affected by natural and man-made disaster
  • Promote sustainable development through long-term projects.
  • Support orphaned and vulnerable children through sponsorship programs.

Activities and Programs[edit]

Emergency Relief[edit]

GHH responds to crises by providing food, medical supplies, and shelter to those affected by disasters. Notable interventions include relief efforts in Turkey Earthquake and Morocco Earthquake.

Orphan Sponsorship[edit]

The charity supports orphaned children by providing them with education, healthcare, and basic needs. The sponsorship program aims to improve the lives of children in countries like Syrian Refugees, Yemen, Palestine, Uganda, Rohingya Refugees, Pakistan, Bosnia, Lebanon, Uyghurs.

Water Projects[edit]

Global Helping Hands has implemented numerous water projects, including the construction of wells and water purification systems in areas lacking access to clean water. These projects are active in countries like Rohingya Refugees, Pakistan, The Gambia.

Sustainable Livelihoods[edit]

GHH supports communities by funding projects that promote economic self-sufficiency. This includes vocational training, small business grants, and agricultural programs.

Governance[edit]

The charity is governed by a board of trustees who oversee its operations and ensure transparency and accountability. The current trustees are Dr. Asif Ali (Chairman), Dr. Hamza Alam, and Mr. Shahid Munir.

Funding[edit]

Global Helping Hands operates on donations from individuals, corporate sponsors, and fundraising events. The 100% donation policy ensures that every penny donated is used for charitable purposes, with administrative costs covered by separate funding streams.
