The Gupta Conquest of Kanchipuram was a battle fought between the Gupta Empire under Samudragupta and Pallava dynasty under Vishnugopa I. It was a part of Samudragupta compaign of South India. Samudragupta marched towards the Pallava dynasty, defeating them in capital and seizing their capital.[1]
Vishnugopa I was the king of Pallava dynasty who was defeated by Samudragupta [2] [3]
