Draft:Guylaine Vallée

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guylaine Vallée (born March 22, 1959) is a Canadian practitioner of Vedic palmistry (Hast Jyotish),[1][2] Vedic astrology (Jyotish)[3][4][5], and is a teacher, writer, webinar host, and a devotee of enlightened spiritual leader, Paramahansa Yogananda.[6]

Guylaine grew up in Valleyfield, Quebec, and graduated from the television program at CEGEP de Jonquière's School of Media Arts & Technology. She had a successful career as a scriptwriter and film editor in Paris and Montreal. However, her life took a transformative turn after meeting world-renowned Vedic astro-palmist, Ghanshyam Singh Birla.[7] Inspired by the ancient science of Vedic Palmistry, Guylaine dedicated herself to its study and practice.[8]

Over the past 40 years, she has helped thousands of clients improve their lives through palmistry and has inspired tens of thousands through her lectures across North America and various radio and television appearances.[9] Guylaine currently practices Vedic palmistry at the Birla Center in Chénéville, Québec.

Autobiography[edit]

The Happy Palmist: My Joyful Adventure in Vedic Palmistry[10]

What drives a small-town girl from Quebec to go to India where she will have the privilege to read the hands of one of world's greatest humanitarians, Mother Teresa? Guylaine's autobiography, The Happy Palmist, charts her tumultuous journey from an unhappy teen who, through willpower and courage, became a consultant to thousands of people, shedding light on the lives of her clients and helping them to achieve their dreams.

In this highly personal memoir, Guylaine brings us along on her journey from her loving childhood home to the series of traumatic events that destroyed her confidence and shattered her self-esteem.[11]

At 24, feeling that her life lacked meaning or purpose after an unsuccessful quest for happiness in Paris, Guylaine moved back to Montreal where she heard about Indian palmist Ghanshyam Singh Birla, Director of the Birla Center. He would inspire her to begin a new, exciting chapter of her life—a mission to help others through the ancient science of Palmistry, through which she eventually found joy.

New York Times best-selling author Steve Erwin[12] (''Left to Tell'') helped Guylaine craft her story, drawing out the rich details of heartache and elation that fill this chronicle of loneliness, hope and redemption.

Celebrity Clients[edit]

Guylaine has studied the palms of numerous well-known figures and celebrities, such as motivational best-selling author Wayne Dyer, Ricky Martin, Gino Vannelli, Marina Orsini, Mitsou and Lilou Macé.[13]

Palmistry Textbooks & Courses[edit]

Guylaine is dedicated to honoring the vision of her mentor, Ghanshyam Singh Birla, to bring Vedic palmistry and its many benefits to people all around the world.[14] To that end, she is working on a series of courses and textbooks that cover every aspect of this ancient science, including full programs (texts and videos) that explore the three most powerful "mounts" in the hand—Luna, Venus and Mars. The mounts are the astrological zones of the palm and directly affect our personality, thoughts and behavior.[15] Students are able to test their knowledge with the online quizzes that come with each lesson.

Self-Development Programs[edit]

90-Day Challenges[edit]

Guylaine has worked with Ghanshyam Singh Birla to create a series of user-friendly, 90-day self-development programs that help people make quick and lasting improvements in their lives through palmistry.

Their years of experience has proven that it takes a minimum of 90 days of consistent effort to make lasting positive changes in the way we think, act and feel. With palmistry, we can actually see those changes taking place in the palms of our hands. That's because when our thoughts and attitudes improve, so do the lines in our hand.[16]

In these unique programs, Guylaine examines real life case studies and handprints while incorporating aspects of Vedic philosophy, yoga, ancient breathing techniques, inspirational thoughts and journaling.
