Haji Khavari (Persian: حاجی خاوری) (born June 12, 1986) is a pseudonymous Iranian poet. After being arrested for online posting against the Iranian government, he began writing under this assumed name. His verse, translated from Persian by Roger Sedarat, has appeared in such journals as the Michigan Quarterly Review,[1] Poetry,[2] and World Literature Today,[3] and in the 2019 poetry anthology Reel Verse: Poems About the Movies[4] and the 2021 anthology Essential Voices: Poetry of Iran and Its Diaspora.[5]
