The Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is an upcoming skyscraper temple located in Hyderabad, one of India's oldest royal cities. With a height of 120 meters, it aims to become a significant cultural landmark in the region, contributing to the diverse heritage of India.^[1]

The project is intended as a tribute to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of the global Hare Krishna Movement, who envisioned the construction of magnificent temples similar to the renowned Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala.

The foundation stone for the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower was laid by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao in Kokapet. The event was attended by various dignitaries and officials, including Telangana's Education Minister, Sabitha Indra Reddy.^[2]

The tower will be situated on a six-acre plot of land in Narsingi, Hyderabad, known as Goshpaada Kshetra, historically recognized as a grazing ground sanctified by the presence of cows.^[3]

It serves as a homage to the enduring elegance of Dravidian temple architecture, illustrating its cultural roots and historical significance^[4].

GARBHAGUDI[edit]

The temple complex dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy within the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is designed to emulate the grandeur of the renowned Tirumala Temple. The main hall, known as the "Maha Mandapam," will serve as the central space housing the sanctum sanctorum, or Garbhagudi, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Adorned with traditional architectural features, including embellished pillars, this sacred area pays homage to the rich cultural and religious heritage associated with Lord Venkateswara Swamy and the Tirumala Temple^[4].

GRAND ENTRANCE[edit]

The main entrance of the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is designed to incorporate elements inspired by the historical and artistic Kakatiya Kala Thoranam. This architectural feature draws from the legacy of the Kakatiya dynasty, particularly from the ornate gateways that adorned the ancient temple in Warangal. The entrance's ornate archway welcomes visitors with a nod to India's 12th-13th century heritage, evoking a sense of historical and cultural significance^[4].

The Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is anticipated to become a significant tourist attraction in Telangana, India. Standing at a height of 120 meters,^[5] the tower will house the main shrines dedicated to Sri Sri Radha Krishna, Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana Hanuman, and Lord Venkateswara Swamy. This skyscraper temple aims to blend elements of traditional Indian temple architecture with modern architectural techniques, offering visitors a harmonious fusion of the past and present architectural styles.^[4]
