- Comment: What has been written about the award in general (and not just about individual recipients) by reliable, disinterested sources? After initial puzzlement about a "Victorian architecture prize" being presented for buildings with distinctly un-Victorian names, I realized that this might instead be a Victorian award. The draft might elucidate. "The award is the highest honour in Residential Architecture - Houses (New) category." For Australia? (But if so, then how?) Or for Victoria? Either way, what's the source for this assertion? Hoary (talk) 02:06, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
The Harold Desbrowe-Annear Award is a Victorian architecture prize presented annually by the Australian Institute of Architects. The award is the highest honour in Residential Architecture - Houses (New) category. This award was introduced in 1996.
Since 1929, the Victorian Architecture Awards serve to recognise best practice in the field of architecture.
