Painter, oil on canvas on board, some stretched canvas, some pencil, some charcoal.
Hilton Hassell was the art director of Maclean's, creative director of Brigden's Ltd. He studied under JEH MacDonald G7(Group of 7), FH Johnston G7, JW Beattie and Hayward Veal. He painted with AY Jackson G7, AJ Casson G7, Adrian Dingle RCA, Douglas Elliott and Tom Roberts. He did shows at the Eatons Fine Art Gallery, Toronto.
