The Croatian American community is prevelant in Southern California, especially in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. The San Pedro, South Bay community is especially rife with Croats and Croatian-owned businesses and restaurants. There are 6,000 Croatians in Los Angeles proper, clocking up to 0.2% of Los Angelenos being of Croatian lineage. Rancho Mission Viejo in Orange County also has a higher-than-average proportion of Croatians, at four percent.[1] Ranchos Palos Verdes has a community of 900 Croatians, who make up 2% of the city's population.

There is a Croatian American Community Hall.

SC Croat San Pedro is a footbal club in San Pedro which was founded by and largely has Croatian players.

The Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, San Pedro, California has many Croatian members in its congregations.
