HotCars is an automotive enthusiast-centric media brand founded in 2018 by Valnet.[1]

The website produces news, features, and reviews and is read by 5 million readers every month.[2] It is currently managed by Valnet's Automotive Group and portfolio manager, Anthony Abbondanza. [3] Other brands owned by Valnet include Carbuzz and TopSpeed. [4]

Editorial Direction[edit]

The editorial team is managed by Jared Solomon, who has been with the automotive website since 2022.[5] Solomon arrived at HotCars after serving as a senior editor for autoX for 11 years. [6]

In 2024, Christopher Tonn was hired as an Editor-at-Large. He was previously a journalist for The Truth About Cars, Forbes, SlashGear and Hagerty.

HotCars covers mostly automotive niche topics for enthusiasts.

Social Media[edit]

HotCars operates several social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, and Tiktok. It produces video reviews and car renders that are distributed across its social platforms.
