From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE) is an annual conference organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This conference provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, and developers to explore research topics related to data engineering and data management. The scope of the conference includes the design, implementation, modeling, theory, and application of data systems, such as databases, and their associated algorithms and technologies. Key topics often discussed at ICDE include database performance, data mining, data visualization, cloud and grid databases, distributed databases, real-time data processing, and big data analytics, among others. The conference program typically features keynote speeches by industry leaders and top researchers, as well as presentations of peer-reviewed research papers, tutorials, workshops, and panels.

The conference has been organized annually since 1984 (with the exception of 1985), the first few editions were held in Los Angeles
