Dávid Valentino Dior (born September 20, 2008), known professionally as Icepop (stylized in all lowercase), is a Spanish singer, songwriter and producer. He is more commonly known for making music in English rather than Spanish. However he is on the rise and an upcoming artist of this generation releasing pop records frequently.

Early life

Icepop was born on September 20, 2008, in Marbella, Spain. Growing up, He listened mostly to pop, and through his mother, some Spanish music, including Álvaro Soler.

Career

2023: Beginnings and Finding music

From being passionate to Football (soccer), music wasn't always his number one choice as he thought waiting until an older age would be the only option to start pursuing in his career. Icepop started making music on his computer after seeing a "reference in a movie", then pursuing into the career he started to achieve. His favorite artist was Lil Nas X.

2024–present: Career start and Rising

Dior started off early-2024 by releasing "suicidal thoughts" on May 31; finding no success and knowing he had to switch his style instantly. He stayed dormant on his career for a month or two then releasing "passing nights" on July 19;which had larger success reaching his first 1,000 streams in just one month. Briefly after that release he dropped "mixed feelings" on August 9; reaching 1,000 streams in just 3 days of it's release.

At this moment, "Icepop" has just over 1,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
