Dr. Jaffer Khan (born in Karachi, Pakistan) comes from a banker’s family. He is married and has three daughters.[1] Renowned plastic surgeon in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.[2][3][4] He is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He is also the Medical Director & Founder of the Aesthetics International, the Nova Clinic by Aesthetics and AEON Clinic.[5][6][7][8] rained in the United Kingdom as a reconstructive surgeon specializing in high degree burns and microvascular procedures. His areas of special interest include breast and body contouring, as well as aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and abdomen.[9] 3rd plastic surgeon in the UAE ,7th in the middle east region.[10]

Pioneering Work

Dr. Khan introduced the first Erbium YAG laser for facial resurfacing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1997 and in Dubai in 1998.[11]

Career

Dr. Khan began his plastic surgery training at Cork University Hospital before moving to the United Kingdom. He is a former Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the United Kingdom. During his five-year training period, he worked alongside ten leading consultants at St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals. He gained experience in cosmetic surgery during his fellowship at a Harley Street practice in London.[12] Dr. Jaffer Khan also visited the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and worked as a Fellow at a leading Harley Street practice in London to gain experience in cosmetic surgery.[13]

In 2011, he set up his private practice on Al Wasl road, Aesthetics International.

In 2017, he set up Nova Clinics.[7]

In February 2023, Dr. Khan founded the AEON Clinic in collaboration with Atlantis the Royal Hotel.[5]

International Recognition

Dr. Khan was the first surgeon in the region to pass the specialty fellowship examination of the Joint Royal Colleges in Plastic Surgery.[14]

Dr. Khan is a visiting professor at Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom, where he co-leads the Masters in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery training program.[15]

Dr. Khan serves as a Key Opinion Leader for anti-aging injections and fillers, having consulted for major companies like Galderma and Allergan.[16] He has published a book chapter on this subject as well.[17]

He was featured in “Voices of the Future,” an online multimedia platform conceptualized by Tariq Qureishy, that features conversations with prominent figures in their field.[18][19]

In 2024, AEON clinic won two awards: the MEA business markets Innovation in stem cells award and best wellness clinic.[20] AEON Clinic is the region’s only centre affiliated with the American Board of regenerative medicine, & Geneva College of Longevity Sciences.[21]
