Ganga Andolan [7]

[edit]

The struggle to make Ganga pure has been going on for decades. Under the guidance of Shankaracharya Swaroopanand, Swamishree Avimukteshwarandah too joined this movement and held the biggest protest which concluded in the Congress government declaring Ganga as the national river in 2008.

Mandir Bachao, Kashi [8]

[edit]

In 2018, several ancient temples in Varanasi were demolished to accomodate the Kashi Corridor.

Swamishree Avimukteshwaranandah held meetings with the locals and did a padyatra throughout the city to try and save the culture and legacy of Kashi.

Gaumata Rashtramata [9]

[edit]

The biggest protest to ban cow slaughter in this country was organised by Karpatri Ji Maharaj in 1966, which ended when the government opened fire on sadhus at the parliament building in Delhi.

Now, the current Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Swamishree Avimukteshwarandah has alongwith the presiding other 3 Shankaracharyas brought this demand to the forefront and is running a constant campaign to unite people to demand the government to ban cow slaughter in India.

Gyanvapi [10]

[edit]

The original Gyanvapi temple is allegedly believed to be within the mosque in Varanasi.

Hindus have for centuries been demanding that they be allowed the right to pray there.

Swamishree Avimukteshwarandah has been leading this demand for close to three decades now.

Ram Mandir

[edit]

Swamishree Avimukteshwaranandah was the key witness for the prosecution during the Ram temple custody battle in the courts.

Avimukteshwaranandah's well researched testimony provided the court with ample evidence of the fact that the Babri masjid was infact the exact place where Lord Ram was born.
