Jean Corbon[1] (December 29, 1924 Paris to , Feburary 25, 2001 Beirut) was a melkite priest, theologian on ecumenism, and university professor.
Biography[edit]
He entered the Order of Preachers. In 1956 he was sent to Lebanan. In 1959 he was ordained a priest for the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Beirut. Being ordained in the Byzantine rite, he centered his studies and ministry, above all in the field of ecuminenism. He was a professor of Liturgy and ecumenisim in various theological centers in lebanan: Saint Joseph Univeristy in Beirut-Ashrafiya and Holy Spirit University in Kaslik. He had a vast understanding of liturgical theology and ecclesiology[2]
