Jesse Nowell Pletsch (born September 26, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey referee from Cornwall Ontario, Canada. Pletsch started his officiating career in the Junior Officiating Development Program and was hired by the American Hockey League at the age of 19. Pletsch has worked in the A.H.L. for 14 seasons.

Pletsch hails from a great hockey family with deep Ontario roots. Both Grandfathers are Hockey Hall of Fame members. Ted Darling, for play-by-play with the Buffalo Sabres and Hockey Night In Canada. Fred Pletsch for his career as a player and time spent with the Berrie Flyers, winning a Memorial Cup in 1953. His father Fred was the Director of Communications and eventually Commissioner of the CCHA and is now a color commentator and TV personality for the Big Ten Network. Brother, Ted Pletsch played for Sheldon Keefe and the Pembroke Lumber Kings (won the RBC Cup in 2011). Ted went on to play 4 years with the Bowling Green Falcons of the CCHA.

Leagues Worked: North American Hockey League, United States Hockey League, Southern Professional Hockey League, Federal Hockey League, International Hockey League, Central Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League and the American Hockey League.

Pletsch has also worked various prospect/officiating camps including: 3 NHL Top Prospect tournaments in  Traverse City, MI. 1 NHL Gatorade Rules Showcase in Toronto, Ontario. 2 USA Hockey Programs of Merit (20 of the top officials in USA and Canada) Buffalo, NY.

Pletsch currently resides in Plymouth, Michigan and is involved with Officating Development for the BIG10 NCAA mens hockey.
