Jessica Carter Altman is a pop singer and songwriter. Altman is "a captivating songstress with a unique sense of style," writes The Los Angeles Inquisitor.[1]

She draws inspiration from artists like Carole King, Joni Mitchell, and Lana Del Rey. Altman released For You, a four song EP, in 2022 in dedication to her father. Her debut album Aftermath was released on June 14, 2024.[2]

Altman has a passion for both law and music and has a law degree from the University of Michigan.

Jessica performed her single "Naïve" on the Tamron Hall Show in December 2023.[3] Her music has been covered in People Magazine's "Ones To Watch,"[4] TimeOut,[5] Entertainment Tonight's "New Music Friday,"[6] and more.

Jessica was raised in Potomac, Maryland by her mother, actor and vocalist Lynda Carter and her father, lawyer and executive Robert A. Altman.

Altman attended undergrad and law school at University of Michigan.[7]

While at the University of Michigan Law School, she served as a volunteer mediator in small claims court and worked in the child welfare appellate clinic. Following law school, she began her legal career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Washington D.C.[8]

Jessica has also worked with organizations such as the Innocence Project[9] and DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.[10]

Altman was married in 2023 and her wedding was profiled in The New York Times.[11]

Jessica Carter Altman released the EP For You in 2022 which includes the tracks "Lucky One, "Cherry Blossoms," and "For You."

Jessica released the pop single "Pieces[12]" in June 2023, which served as the lead single off of her EP Aftermath I, released in November 2023. The EP also includes tracks: "Aftermath," "Naive," and "Blood Moon."

The music "beautifully portrays her journey of resilience, piecing together fragments of her life after experiencing loss" writes British Thoughts Magazine.[13]

The second chapter, Aftermath II EP was released in the spring 2024, followed by her debut album, Aftermath, on June 14, 2024.[14]

Jessica Carter Altman has collaborated with producer Jason Lehning, and musicians and songwriters Latifah Alattas and Palmer Lee in the studio. She's recorded at Blackbird Studios, Sound Emporium, and Love Hz in Nashville.

Altman has played across Boston, Nashville, NYC, LA and more including The Troubadour,[31] Hotel Cafe, Rockwood Music Hall, Drom, and showcases at SXSW.[32]

Altman was announced as the special guest opener for BBMak's April 2024 shows in Atlanta and Nashville and July 2024 shows in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. She will support Tyler Hilton in a run of East Coast shows in August 2024.[33]
