Jira River Or Jeera River is a tributaries of Mahanadi River. It's origin is near Brahmanidihi village of Sohela Block, Bargarh. The river then cross the border of Odisha and enter into Chhattisgarh. Again it cross the border and enter into Odisha. Girshul River near Bargarh town is it's one tributary. Danta River near Bheden is it's another tributary. Jira Or Jeera River is famous as Yamuna River in the world famous Bargarh Dhanujatra Or Dhanuyatra. Every year during Dhanujatra Krishna leela perfomed on it's bank.
