Joa Antoun is a Lebanese tattoo artist. Born on the 4th of November 1990. Grew up in Keserwan, Lebanon. In 2011 she graduated from her major in graphic design with a bachelor degree. Joa started her tattoo career in 2017, she learned the art of tattooing in Beirut, Lebanon, then she attended a tattoo seminar in Florence, and got involved with the tattoo community in Istanbul. Joa attends international tattoo conventions all around the world mostly in Europe. She won multiple prizes at tattoo conventions in microrealism tattoo. During her career, Joa tattooed in more than 20 countries around the world including Africa in countries like Ivory Coast, Cameron, Lagos, Egypt, Senegal. Joa opened her own studio in Beirut, Lebanon in 2018. In 2022, She opened the door for guest tattoo artists from all around the world to tattoo in her studio. Joa started her campaign with breast cancer survivors in 2019, where she offers scar cover up tattoos and 3D nipple tattoos for free. A documentary done by soulhouse media productions about breast cancer survivors and the steps they go through and how tattoos changed their self-worth. Joa collaborates with reconstruction doctors to spread awareness about breast cancer in Lebanon and how to use tattoos to cover up scars or burns after their surgeries.
