Career[edit]
John’s music career kicked off in the mid ‘90s after teaming up with fellow songwriter Ronnie Walker. In 1996 Evans-Walker released Ride Shotgun.[6][3]
In 1998, John released his first solo album, the honky-tonk flavored Biggest Fool In Town (1998) featuring such tracks as "Cry You A Bayou," "Two Swingin' Doors" and live favorite "Pasa-Get-Down-Dena."[6][3]
After the release of Biggest Fool in Town, Evans hit the road with a group of backing musicians who evolved into the John Evans Band. The John Evans Band represented a shift to to a harder rocking sound which they captured in the recording studio. In 2002, John Evans Band released Out of Control (2002), followed by Circling The Drain (2005) and Ramblin' Boy (2006).
Evans followed up the trio of John Evans Band albums with three solo albums: Lucky 13 (2008), Lolly Gaggin' (2009) and Polyester (2016)
