Draft:John L Zwerenz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John L Zwerenz is an American impressionist poet, novelist, journalist and musician.

Early Years:

Zwerenz was born in 1970 to an aristocratic family on New York's Long island. His primary school habits were erratic and his arbitrary character was reflected in his grades which at times were poor. However, Zwerenz took to reading copious volumes of verse and by the time Zwerenz graduated from highschool he was proficient in his chosen fields of study.

Travel:

After graduating college in the early 1990's Zwerenz went on an extended excursion to London, England and to Paris, France, where he immersed himself in his writing, producing a considerable amount of verse. The resulting material would eventually comprise Zwerenz' first two books, "Selected Poems" and "Mist and Flame", both released in 2011.

Critical Reception:

Zwerenz' first literary contributions were met with mediocre sales and were largely ignored by the press.

Emage Magazine: (1)

It was not until 2014 that Zwerenz was hired by Emage Magazine, an international in print arts publication as its official poetry writer that his books began to sell. In addition, Zwerenz was offered profitable contracts which furthered his standing as an established classical poet.

Novels: (2)

Zwerenz published 16 books of verse before turning his attention to writing novels. Among his most acclaimed works of fiction were "The House on Marble Hill" (2020) and "The Mystery of Wycliff Manor" (2024)

Music:(3)

Over the last decade Zwerenz has released eight rock albums, most of which have been widely played on the radio, both in the United States and in the UK.

Books:

Zwerenz' writings have gained nationwide attention and are now broadly taught in the US and Canada. (4)

Zwerenz currently lives with his family in New York State.

Criticism: Although Zwerenz' works have enjoyed a good deal of monetary success, many contemporary established literary critics have dismissed Zwerenz' writings as stale and out of date, relying on anachronistic phrases which are reminiscent of the middle ages.
