Draft:Jon Dick
Submission declined on 3 January 2024 by Crunchydillpickle (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Hi, thanks for the submission. Although you have sources, they don't mention the article's subject and thus do not confer notability. Though Jon Dick is mentioned several of the press releases below, none of the cited news sources mention Jon Dick by name. Review the notability standards for people over at WP:NBIO. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions! Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 02:33, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Jon Dick is a Canadian advertising copywriter and creative thinker.[1] His work has been internationally recognized by such festivals as Cannes Lions, the One Club, Clios, and Communication Arts.[2]
Career History[edit]
Dick started his career as an intern at Cossette Communications. He then worked at Mackie Biernacki - a boutique advertising agency.
Soon, he was hired as a copywriter at Juniper Park\TBWA. There, he created the Nissan GT-R NFT[3], an award-winning campaign.
In 2021, Dick was hired at McCann Canada as a senior copywriter.[4] There, in 2022, he launched Wendy's breakfast for the Canadian market with a campaign called "Where's the Bacon?"[5] This was a refreshed version of the famous Wendy's "Where's the beef?" campaign.
In 2023, he created The Stage Zero Collection by Love & Nudes - the world's first breast cancer screening tools designed for Black women.[6][7] The campaign ultimately influenced the government of Ontario to lower the breast cancer screening age from 50 to 40.[8] He also created Roots Remastered for Bayer, the world's first music made from corn.[9] Dick also introduced BurnWatch for non-profit Melanoma Canada.
Dick's work for The Stage Zero Collection, and his other campaigns at McCann, earned him numerous awards.[10] It also directly contributed to McCann winning bronze at the Strategy Agency of the Year awards – the agency’s first placement on the podium in 23 years.[11] A week later, he won the agency its first gold trophy since 2009.[12]
