Submission declined on 5 June 2023 by Rusalkii (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. |

- Comment: Same problems as last submission. Needs way more coverage establishing notability. GraziePrego (talk) 03:31, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: I'm not seeing any improvements since the previous decline. The only independent source that has more than a passing mention is the pollstar article; needs at least 1-2 more like it. Rusalkii (talk) 21:41, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
Judi Marmel is an American entertainment executive and co-founder, president and executive producer at Levity Live![1][2] She is one of the only women founding or running a major comedy/entertainment firm. Her most recent TV and film credits include executive producer of Chuck Lorre’s upcoming HBO Max series How to Be a Bookie[3] starring Sebastian Maniscalco, producer of Lionsgate’s 2023 feature film About My Father starring Maniscalco and Robert De Niro, and producer of Legendary, and Sony’s upcoming feature film The Machine[4] starring Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill.
Career[edit]
Levity Live[edit]
In 2009, Marmel and her partners, Robert Hartmann and Stu Schreiberg[5], founded Levity Live[6],[7][8] an entertainment company that brings together production companies, talent management and development, and a network of mixed-use live entertainment venues under the Improv and Levity Live brands. Marmel, who leads the talent management division, participates in the development and execution of the company’s global growth strategy.[9]
Other Ventures[edit]
In 2018, Marmel and her team acquired the comedy brand The Improv,[10] which expanded the company’s live venue platform. Marmel works closely with Levity’s three production banners, Levity Productions,[11] Triage Entertainment,[12] and Lando Entertainment on both scripted and non-scripted programming across distribution platforms Netflix, Comedy Central, Showtime, and Food Network.
In addition, she has worked on comedy specials with comedians that include Maniscalco, Taylor Tomlinson[13], Kreischer[14], Fortune Feimster, and Jeff Dunham.
Personal Life[edit]
Marmel was born in Colorado[15] and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband. She is an active board member of Comedy Gives Back[16], a non-profit that supports local comedians in their community providing financial relief in times of crisis.
