Julia A Smith is an established accounting academic[1].[2] In over thirty years in academia, she has worked at the Universities of St Andrews,[3] Oxford, Cardiff and Strathclyde[4] Glasgow,[1] and was recently a visiting researcher,[5] under the Fondation Masion des Sciences de l'Homme[6] programme, at ESSCA Business School[7] and the University of Angers[8] France. She is a qualified chartered management accountant.

Dr Smith's latest book, a Research Handbook on Accounting and Information Systems,[9] is due to be published by Edward Elgar[10] in 2024.
