Julius Tennon is an American actor and producer, best known for his roles as James Jordan in Air (2023) and The Woman King. He is married to American actress Viola Davis.
Early life[edit]
Tennon was born in Austin, Texas on 24 December 1953.[1]
In the eight grade, Tennon memorized and performed the “I have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr. This inspired Tennon to pursue an acting career.[2]
He later obtained a full scholarship to University of Tulsa, where he graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.[3]
Personal life[edit]
Tennon married Sheryl Arnold in 1974. The couple had two children, a daughter born in 1976, and a son born in 1979. They divorced in 1980. He was married to Christine White from 1992-1998.
Tennon met actress Viola Davis in 1999 on the set of City of Angels.[4] They married in 2003. They adopted a daughter from Haiti in 2011.
