The KNUST School of Business (KSB) is one of the three faculties under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KNUST, Kumasi.
History
[edit]The KNUST School of Business (KSB) was established in 2005. The faculty started with 170 undergraduates and similar number pursuing postgraduate in MBA programs. The faculty has its root dating back to 2002 as an outgrowth from the Department of Economics and Industrial Development. They began by offering a postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Management.[1]
Departments
[edit]There are five functional academic departments under the faculty.[2]
- Department of Accounting and Finance
- Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems
- Department of Marketing and Corporate Strategy
- Department of Human Resource and Organizational Development
- Department of Hospitality and Tourism Studies
Programs
[edit]The KNUST School of Business offers programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate. the school offers several undergraduate programs, Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Business Administration (Accounting, Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain, Banking and Finance, Human Resource, etc.) and Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The postgraduate programs offered ranges from Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).[3]
