Kamran Saliani is an Iranian-Italian-British professional actor and theater owner. He is the founder of Rivertowns Playhouse, a professional theater company in the Hudson Valley, where is he is the Resident Actor and Artistic Director.^[1]

Career

Kamran is best known for his revival of Sir Ian McKellen's "Acting Shakespeare." McKellen gave Saliani his blessing to revive the production, which began in 2022 and is ongoing.^[2] In 2023, he received special permission to incorporate sections of legendary author James Shapiro's book "Shakespeare In a Divided America" into his new adaptation of McKellen's play. Shapiro is also the "Shakespeare Scholar in Residence" at the Public Theater in New York City and is associated with the world-famous Shakespeare in the Park series each summer at the Delacorte Theater in Manhattan. ^[3]

In 2023, Saliani was chosen as a Westchester Wunderkind for his extraordinary success as an actor and theater producer before the age of 35.^[4]
