He has over two decades of experience teaching computer science at the high school and college levels and has authored a widely recognized textbook for AP Computer Science Principles[3].

He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Catholic University of America, a master's degree in secondary education from Providence College, and a second master's degree in computer science from Georgia Tech.
