The Khurd Office Tower (also called the Khan Bank Tower) is a skyscraper located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The total project site stands at 246,105 sqft and its is currently used as an office building[3].
The office is located on Chinggis Ave. next to Naadam Center Mall. It has been built with green reflective glass panels[4]. The Khan Bank tower was used as the headquarters for the Khan Bank, on e of Mongolia's largest banks, with over 6,300 employees throughout the country. The Khan Bank Tower, which was financed and built by the Bank, is equipped with eco-friendly features and smart control systems. The building provides a professional and up to date, environmentally friendly, cost and time efficient space for employees[5].
There has been a pushback against the urban densification in Ulaanbaatar, construction boom and the construction of buildings such as Khurd tower has exasperated the rapid densification of Ulaanbaatar.[6] The tower is a modern addition to Ulaanbaatar Skyline. There has been an increase of towers taller than 50 metres and Khurd office tower is a great example of a modern addition of Ulaanbatar.[7]
