King Liang (/kɪŋ læŋ/[14][a]; born February 4, 1999), known online as Plainrock124, is an American vlogger and YouTuber. He is known on YouTube for making tech destruction content, mainly with the "Bored Smashing"[15], "50 Ways To Break"[16], and "Moving On..."[17] series.

Personal Life[edit]

King was born on 4 February, 1999 in Yakima, Washington[18][19] to Cantonese immigrants.[citation needed] At an unknown young age, his family moved to Flagstaff, Arizona where he resides as of December 2022. He attended Flagstaff High School and graduated in 2017. Afterwards, he burned his high school diploma.[20] King attended Coconino Community College for 2 weeks but subsequently dropped out to pursue YouTube full time.[21][22] King has came out as asexual[23].

Career[edit]

King has been lambasted throughout his YouTube career for destroying technology that others desire. King constantly states that he does not waste money as he gets back the money from ad revenue.[24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32]

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Normally, his surname would be pronounced [ljɑŋ˧˥]. However, he pronounces his surname both without tone and using a more Cantonese pronunciation, despite said surname being transliterated in accordance to Pinyin, which is used for Mandarin.
