Kishnica (Albanian: Kishnicë, Serbian: Киšница, Kišnica) is a village located in the eastern part of Kosovo, within the municipality of Gračanica.

Geography

Kishnica lies approximately 10 kilometers southeast of Pristina, the capital city of Kosovo.^[1] The village is situated in a hilly area characteristic of the region.

Mining Industry

Kishnica is historically significant for its mining industry. The Kishnica mine, along with the nearby Novo Brdo and Badovac mines, has been a major source of lead, zinc, and silver.^[2] These mines have been integral to the local economy for centuries, dating back to medieval times.^[3]
