Klan Busters was a 24 hour anti-racist telephone hotline established to monitor and prevent white supremacist activity in the Greater Toronto Area.[1] It was created in response to the Heritage Front’s hotline called Equal Rights for Whites[2][3]. The telephone hotline asked people to leave messages if they noticed pamphlets or rallies of various white supremacist groups in their region.[2]
It was founded in July 1992 by Rodney Bobiwash in response to incidents of postering, recruitment and protests led by white supremacist groups being organized across Ontario and Quebec[2][4]. Klan Busters was a privately funded telephone hotline based out of the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto[5].
