Krause Sports and Entertainment (KSE) is an American sports company based in Forsyth County, Georgia. This group was formed by avid hockey fan Vernon Krause and the company intends to bring an National Hockey League back to Atlanta for the first time since the Atlanta Thrashers relocated to Winnipeg in 2011.
KSE is currently in the process of trying to build a brand new sports and entertainment hub called The Gathering at South Forsyth, in order to get an potential NHL team in Forsyth County.

On April 17, 2023, Vernon Krause officially announced his new company, Krause Sports and Entertainment and announced plans to build an entertainment center called The Gathering at South Forsyth which included an arena built for a potential NHL team. If built, the arena would sit 18,000 for hockey and 20,000 for concerts.[1]A week later, on April 25, the Forsyth County Board approved plans to move forward with the project.[2]
In March 2024, KSE revealed details on the cost of the arena came out which said that the arena would cost $700 million and that ASM Global would manage the arena, a group that has managed other arenas such as, T-Mobile Arena and Crypto.com Arena.[3]
Also in March, former NHL player Anson Carter and his new group Alpharetta Sports & Entertainment revealed a competing bid for a potential third Atlanta NHL team; Carter's proposal would be located at the site of the North Point Mall, seven miles south of The Gathering site.[4]
