Jakob Wood (born July 5, 2004) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently performing in the independent circuit primarily in the New England region under the ring name Landon Kross. He has competed for many promotions; most notable Truly Independent Wrestling (TIW) and World of Hurt Wrestling (WOH).
Professional wrestling career
[edit]Independent circuit (2022 - Present)
[edit]Wood started training at 18 years old in South Glens Falls, New York in August of 2022. He trained alongside students such as Taylor One Shot, Jeff Nova, Kris Jackson, and Richie the Madman. However just two months into training, he made is in-ring debut at TIW Fall Frenzy in the 40-Person TIW Rumble Match; he was entrant #7.
He had then switched training schools and started training at Kevin Landry's Pro Wrestling Combine in Holyoke, Massachusetts in January of 2023. Then Wood had his first singles match as a replacement facing off against Justin Rando at Xtreme Wrestling Alliance in Pownal, Vermont for their first show back since the Covid-19 Pandemic. This would be the only XWA Match for Landon Kross.
Truly Independent Wrestling is the current home promotion of Landon Kross. Wood had been going to every show as a fan in the front row since July 2017. Wood would start as a Referee for the promotion which would allow him to become more active and start living his dream after he entered the 2022 40-Person TIW Rumble. This would lead to TIW Referees Landon Kross, PJ Gonzalez, Morey G, and senior official Adam Brunton being attacked by wrestlers Shawn Phoenix, Jamar Justice, Rico Gasson, and Taylor Oneshot. Which would culminate at TIW End of the Road in 2023 with a 5-on-5 Tag Team Elimination Match titled Referees vs Wrestlers. Landon Kross would get the win over Shawn Phoenix to a huge ovation leading The Referees (Landon Kross, PJ "The Whip" Gonzalez, Morey G, Adam Brunton, and former senior offical Cliff Breslford) a huge win over The Wrestlers aka The Counter Conspiracy Crew (Taylor One Shot, The Music Man, Jamar Justice, Rico Gasson, and Shawn Phoenix). This would lead to Landon Kross going on an undefeated streak from June to September. In October, Kross would get his first championship match as he would put his undefeated streak against the also undefeated TIW Champion Scotty Aero, where the Winner remained Undefeated and TIW Champion, howver the loser would have to enter the 2023 40-Person TIW Rumble at entry #1. Unfortunately, Kross would loss the title match and would have to enter #1 in the TIW Rumble.
Kross has also performed for World of Hurt Wrestling facing Shane Alden, Justin Rando, Randy Walker, Punk, BA Tatum, Foxx Vinyer, and Mikey Cheese. Also competing at Showcase Pro Wrestling in the 2024 SPW Gauntlet for the Gold. As well as one match for XWA against Justin Rando, and competed twice in one night at ETWA in a Prospects Battle Royal and also facing off against Brody Jackson and Kaden Laduke and a battle of the young up and comers of the New England scene. Kross is also currently scheduled to compete for Maine Premier Wrestling in the King of New England Battle Royale.
IMPACT Wrestling/TNA Wrestling (2022 - Present)
[edit]In October 2022, IMPACT! Wrestling came to Albany, New York for Bound for Glory 2022 and Impact! TV Tapings. Wood would work as an extra for the show.
The following year in September 2023, IMPACT! would come to White Plains, New York for Victory Road 2023 and IMPACT! 1000 TV Tapings. Wood can be found during the backstage segment where Rhino gored Steve Maclin and Santino Marella came to calm the situation.
Then in May 2024, TNA Wrestling returned to Albany, New York for TNA Under Siege and TNA Impact! Tapings. Wood can be found on Under Siege and both episodes of TNA Impact! as a member of the TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali's secret service. Wood can also be found during Alan Angels' sound check featuring Big Kon and Steph De Lander.

Personal life
[edit]Wood was born in Dalton, Massachusetts on July 5, 2004. He is an only child. Wood has been a fan of professional wrestling since the summer of 2014 and has dedicated his life to pro wrestling since.
